About the Book

After recovering from Vinny McSeeten’s murderous spree throughout Baltimore City, Aviere Mye just wants to enjoy her last night of medical leave before returning to work. However, what should have been a peaceful meeting between Aviere and her race sponsor, Louis Armandi, instead ends with a drug-related death inside the Tethered Mistress and a bittersweet reunion with her partner.

Armed with the promise of expunging her brother’s darkest sin and receiving more information about her husband’s mysterious disappearance, Aviere charges into the investigation, hoping to solve their case—as well as her personal problems—within their ten-day deadline. In order to survive her second assignment, Aviere understands that only the strongest units prevail.

But when Travis’ growing powers threaten them all and Peters tries undermining her authority, Aviere must confront her darkest fears before her partners destroy everything the Poisoner holds dear.

Fans have already compared Turbulence to Fast and the Furious meets Gone in 60 Seconds and Underworld. Drift, book two in the Renegades Saga, continues with its dynamic fast-paced action scenes, heart-stopping thrills and chronicling one unit’s rite-of-passage within corrupted Charm City’s darkest organizations.

"Whittaker has a very interesting story going on here full of well developed, yet flawed characters. In a world where underworld crime syndicates compete with a shady government agencies, shape shifters, mages and humans both pulling the strings and being used as pawns in an overarching sinister plot that is just beginning to come into focus in this book. This is no simple pulp novel, Whittaker is weaving a truly complex and interesting tale that keeps me on the edge of my seat."
5/5 - Brilliantly crafted! || "Aviere Mye is now one of my top three favorite fictional characters. She has an attitude, gives zero *****, and, oh yeah, she's a shapeshifter. But something I love is that Whittaker doesn't place special emphasis on her unnatural abilities, rather she focuses on Mye's brain power, her love of racing, and her pseudo-pharmaceutical skills."
